MUNCY - Registration is open for the second Muncy Monster Dash 5K run-walk and kids' fun run scheduled for Oct. 20, benefiting the Ward L. Myers Elementary School Parent-Teachers Association.
The 5K event, beginning at 8:30 a.m., will be officially timed with medals awarded for the top three male and female finishers in each division. The first 300 registrants for the 5K will receive an official race shirt, chip timing provided by PaRunners.com and a goodie bag.
Groups also are being accepted for the 5K Team Challenge. No age requirements are required and participants may run or walk in the 5K Team Challenge. Registration is required for groups. Awards will be given to the top three largest groups.
Start and finish lines will be at the school entrance.
Participants ages 12 and under can take part in the Kids Fun Run, which will take place at 10:30 a.m. Start times will be staggered by age groups and no official time will be kept. Kids' registration includes a medal and a T-shirt for those who register before Oct. 10.
