Idamae M. Myers, 90, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at the Jersey Shore Hospital.
She was born May 6, 1922, the daughter of George S. and Stella M. (Loner) Entz.
Idamae was the wife of the late John H. Myers Sr. with whom she shared 49 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1988.
She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, reading newspapers, sewing for the grandchildren and embroidery.
Idamae loved to watch WWF wrestling throughout the week.
She had worked at Weldon's manufacturing for over 45 years.
Idamae is survived by four sons, Robert E. (Sharon) Myers of Williamsport, Sam N. (Debra) Myers, David L. Myers, Randy L. Myers, all of Jersey Shore; six daughters, Doris A. Gower of McElhattan, Cora E. McClarin of Williamsport, Mary J. Edwards of Avis, Stella M. (Bruce) McKean of Jersey Shore, Sandy L. Brooks of Linden and Ida M. Lutz of Destin, Fla.; 24 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Entz of Antes Fort and Lester Entz of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Ethel Geyer of Mill Hall.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Eck; a son, John H. Myers Jr.; a brother, Harry; and four sisters, Shirley Dullen, Georgana Bogart, Dorothy Myers and Betty Murphy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Idamae's Life celebration noon Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Sandy Myers officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
