Two men have been charged with theft-related offenses for allegedly stealing five I-beams from a city business and selling them for scrap, city police said.
Adam Lewis Sowich, 29, of 539 Wyoming St., and Douglas Paulhamus, also 29, of 1771 Memorial Ave., both have been charged with three counts each of theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing the I-beams from the Port Elevator Co., 941 Nichols Place, between Sept. 9 and Sept. 12, police said.
Paulhamus waived his preliminary hearing earlier this month and was released on $12,500 bail. A bench warrant for Sowich's arrest was expected to be filed after he failed to appear for his hearing.
