7 charged with drug offenses

Seven people have been charged with various drug offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:

Jamal M. White, 24, of 618 Pine St.; city police; possession with intent to deliver 18 bags of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver 12 bags of alprazolam and possession with intent to deliver cocaine in the 700 block of Rural Avenue on Thursday night; jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Michael Dale Burke, 29, of the Timberland Apartments; city police; delivery of five bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 700 block of W. Edwin Street on Sept 6; initially jailed but now free on $12,500 bail.

Bruce A. Fletcher Jr., 32, of 437 Anthony St.; city police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of Rose Street on Aug. 8; bench warrant was expected to be issued since he failed to appear for preliminary hearing.

Michael Anthony Briel Jr., 23, of 306 Hughes St.; state police; possession of acetaminophen, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia in the 1800 block of Randall Circle on June 14; released on $2,500 bail.

Charles Donald Pittenger, 41, of 5130 Route 87, Montoursville; state police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 2000 block of East Third Street on May 6; released on $2,500 bail.

Stacey Tazmear Cooley, 19, of 681 Grier St.; state police; possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, delivery and possession of crack cocaine; allegedly sold to a confidential informant near Hepburn Street and Maple Avenue on April 24 and April 25; jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.

James Edward Kaye, 51, of 51 Ruben Kehrer Road, Montoursville; state police; possession of controlled substance (bath salts) and disorderly conduct following an incident at his home on April 11; released on $2,500 bail.
