Doris M. Phillips, 85, of Route 87 Highway, Montoursville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at her residence. She was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Montoursville, a daughter of Harry and Mabel Haas Womelsdorf.
Doris was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Montoursville. She had worked for CVS Pharmacy; was a Mall Walker, and volunteered for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert and by her sister, Mary Jane Womelsdorf.
She is survived by her sons, Terry N. (Bonnie) of Muncy, and David L. (Bonnie) of Montoursville; her daughter, Sharon E. Young of Muncy; brother, Harry (Sara) Womelsdorf of Clarkstown; sister, Barbara (Robert) George of Montoursville; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. Interment will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
