Dorothy M. Hering, 75, died on Sept. 4, 2012, at her residence (Roosevelt Highway, Kendall, N.Y.) following a long illness. She was born on April 20, 1937, to Albert J. (Mike) and Martha M. Winder Lawson and had lived in the area for over 50 years. Dorothy retired from General Motors after 18 years.
She is survived by a sister, Patty L. Kerstetter of Watsontown, as well as her nephew, Michael Kerstetter and wife Ginny, great-niece, Beth and great-nephew, Ken, and her niece, Kathryn Kerstetter of Watsontown, Pa., and many nieces and nephews of N.Y.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald C. Hering Jr. and brother-in-law, Kenneth Kerstetter. The funeral was held at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home in Albion, N.Y. Burial was at Mt. Albion Cemetery, Albion, N.Y.
