We've got a U.S. Ambassador and three others assassinated in Libya with the embassy burning and attacks on other embassies and where is the president? He's fund raising in Vegas and Colorado. What does the media question? "Do you feel Mitt Romney spoke out too soon without knowing the facts"? Really?
Folks, the country is already gone. We have an "historic" president that the media will not investigate, a Congress that won't speak out, an Attorney General that won't prosecute, czars who quote Chairman Mao, and states sued for wanting only eligible people to vote.
I fear for the future. There are painful times coming, not only from the choices that Americans make at the ballot box, but from the results of those choices. I fear that there are those who will not make clear-headed decisions and let their emotions dictate their actions. And then the country will degenerate in chaos and we will be more vulnerable than in the 1860's.
Will the pain in this country come from the disease continuing to grow, or the cutting away of the infection and the healing?
Can we as a nation heal the divisiveness in our cultures and think of ourselves as Americans again, while simultaneously keeping our own customs alive, passing them down to the next generation, never to be forgotten?
This is the question that will be answered in November. Will we make the Founders proud, or will we turn into a government that would make, say, Hugo Chavez, our best friend? I'd pray for our nation, but it seems we've kicked Him out, too, and found another god.
