Church to hold free lunch for retirees
There will be a free lunch at noon Friday at the Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St. All retirees are welcome.
Free movie set at Canton library
CANTON - The next meeting of the Canton Kids Movie Club will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Canton Green Free Library.
The movie will be "The Tale of Desperaux," which is based on a book by Kate DiCamillo that is available at the library.
The Canton Kids Movie Club is co-sponsored by the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Friends of the Canton Green Free Library.
Membership is free.
No reservations are required. Snacks will be provided.
PFLAG group to hold event
LOCK HAVEN - The PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) Lock Haven group, which serves Clinton, Centre and Lycoming counties and the surrounding area, will celebrate LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered) History Month with an open-mic night at 6 p.m. Oct. 1 in Bentley Hall Room S06-S07 at Lock Haven University.
The event is free and open to the public.
