The Lycoming County Library System Learning Center is selling $5 booklets to support the volunteer tutoring program for adults who need to improve their reading, writing and math skills.
The nonprofit organization keeps 100 percent of the booklet price and the customer receives up to $400 in special shopping offers at BonTon, Lycoming Mall.
Community Days will be held Nov. 9 and 10.
"It's a win-win for everyone. We raise funds and the purchaser gets great shopping offers at BonTon," said Linda Herr, Learning Center coordinator. "This fundraiser is unique in that the entire purchase price goes to the non-charitable organization."
Booklets can be bought at one of the six county libraries: Hughesville, Jersey Shore, Konkle, Montoursville, Montgomery, Muncy or at the James V. Brown Library. Community Days is a two-day shopping event at BonTon.
The Learning Center, a United Way program partner, has provided basic literacy tutoring and adult basic education and GED instruction for more than 25 years.
