Is there anyone involved in Williamsport government that can tell the citizens of Newberry when we will be able to drive on Third Street, Fourth Street?
Poplar Street and Arch Street without having to navigate the gauntlet of suspension jarring obstacles and potholes? I am quite certain that if members of the city administration or City Council had to drive these streets on a daily basis, the condition of these streets would be quickly improved. The Mayor and every member of City Council should be embarrassed at the condition of these streets.
If there is shortage of tax revenue to repair these streets, maybe Penn College should be asked to pay for some of the street repairs since they have gobbled up so much property that is no longer on the tax rolls and a bad section of Third Street runs by the college. Please get some relief for the daily West End commuters.
