The townships of Cummings, McHenry, Brown, Pine and the southern half of Cogan House, are the only five townships remaining in Lycoming County that contain large massive tracts of forested wilderness areas that have survived the onslaught of civilization since we became a nation 236 years ago. It is the lack on insight, which is lacking in today's leadership at the state and county levels, as well as the fact that it is being practiced and bred out of every new generation of our children who will be the leaders of tomorrow. For this land to be used for making new roads and neutering hundred of acres of forests to make way for drill pads, waterlines and gas lines is despicable. Our state deserves to be a sovereign dominion with power of self-rule in local matters, which it is not.
