LEWISBURG - The Bucknell Institute for Lifelong Learning's "Tea & Talk" program will host two afternoon events on Oct. 2 and Oct. 18, focusing on Uyghurland and dance.
Tulu Bayar, associate professor of art at Bucknell, will give the talk, "Uyghurland: A Visual Journey to Northwestern China," at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in The Village Common at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village on Tressler Boulevard. Doors open at 3 p.m.
Kelly Knox, associate professor of dance at Bucknell, will give the talk, "Taking Chances, Making Dances and the Nature of Kinesthetic Collaborations," at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in The Village Common at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village on Tressler Boulevard. Doors open at 3 p.m.
In addition to these two talks, BILL will host a special election year presentation. Christopher Ellis, assistant director of political science at Bucknell, will give the talk, "The 2012 Elections in Context: Political Science's View of Who Will Win and Why," at 4 p.m. Oct. 24 in Marlowe Hall at RiverWoods.
"Tea & Talk" is a series of informal programs held in partnership with Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village at The Village Common on Tressler Boulevard in Lewisburg. Teatime refreshments are provided free of charge for all events
The Bucknell Institute for Lifelong Learning (BILL) has provided adult learners in the Central Susquehanna Valley a broad range of educational and intellectual opportunities since its inauguration during the fall of 2009.
