Arnold A. "Dick" Geise, affectionately known as Pap, 82, of Arbor St., Berwick, died early Tuesday morning, Oct. 2, 2012, at Berwick Retirement Village II, where he had been a resident for two months. He had been in failing health for several months.
He was born July 10, 1930, in Avis and was a son of the late Albert and Lena Knarr Geise.
Arnold owned and operated AA Geise Trucking Co., which hauled pulled trailers for Excel and Muncy Homes and also owned Pilot Car Escort Service and was working until three months ago.

He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Berwick, Bloomsburg Moose, Berwick Elks, and Berwick Trailblazers, which he was instrumental in starting and was very active in.
Arnold enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, never idle as he was always doing something. He also like playing cards at camp outs. He was a good husband and will be forever in Betty's heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Runner, and great-grandchild, Brooke Ann Beaver.
He is survived by his wife, the former Betty J. Weatherill Beaver, and they had observed their 47th wedding anniversary in May 2012. He also is survived a daughter, Patti Cron and her husband Dan of New York; and four children by a previous marriage, stepchildren, Charles Beaver and his wife Joyce of Berwick, Bruce Beaver Sr. and his wife Susan of Mifflinville, Ann Van Pelt and her husband Shane of Mifflinville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Max Geise and his wife Marge of Avis; and a sister, Eileen Dugan of Hughesville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St., Berwick, with the Rev. Dwaine Krebs, his pastor officiating.
Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Visitation for friends will be held Friday evening, Oct. 5, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
