Edith L. Robinson, 88, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
Born March 11, 1924, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of William E. and Jeannette Bastian Robinson.
She spent her entire working career at Merrill Lynch, working the majority as operations manager. Edith was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was an outgoing, sociable person and was also generous and charitable, but her family was the most important part of Edith's life.
Surviving are a brother, William Robinson (Mona) of Linden; two sisters, Louise Taylor of Fort Wayne, Ind., Claire DeWald of Hughesville; 11 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Charles Robinson, Eleanor Corson, Elizabeth Paulhamus and Janet Osborne; and a nephew, Brad DeWald.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
