Paul R. Bressette, 87, of 604 Broad St., Montoursville, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at his residence.
He was born July 31, 1925, in Johnson City, N.Y., a son of Rev. Robert W. and Lila Starner Bressette.
Paul was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church and was a life member of the Montoursville Fire Company.

He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Mirion Hutchinson in 1973; a son, R. Scott; and a sister, Esther Uhler.
Paul is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Barbara A. Whitmire; a son, Michael P. of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Andrea L. Ryan of Montoursville and Denise E. Bressette of Mesa, Ariz.; a stepson, Stephen Poulliott of Muncy; two stepdaughters, Suzette Poulliott of Montoursville and Debra Mosch of Lancaster; three brothers, Rev. Donald of Ohio, Philip of Muncy and David of Ohio; two sisters, Roberta Brown of Florida and Peggy Cox of Kansas; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Trinity Assembly of God Church, 332 N. Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville, with Rev. Jonathan W. Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery, with Military Honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. Friends will be received at the church Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
