The condition of a teenage girl critically injured in one-vehicle crash last week on Northway Road in Eldred Township has improved, according to a nursing supervisor.
Stacey C. Silverman, 18, of Hughesville, was reported in fair condition in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, a nursing supervisor said Thursday.
She was injured when the truck in which she was riding struck three trees near Ridge Top Road about 12:45 a.m. on Sept. 27, police said. The driver, Timothy M. Turner Jr., 19, of Williamsport, suffered minor injuries, police said.
In another crash, state police released information Thursday about a crash that sent a motorcyclist to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center early Tuesday morning.
James E. Baker, 43, of Montoursville, suffered moderate injuries when his cycle struck a deer as he was traveling west on Kehrer Hill Road in Upper Fairfield Township about 5:40 a.m. Baker was wearing a helmet, police said.
Concerning another motorcycle crash in the region, Joseph E. Gunyan, 47, of Wellsboro, suffered injuries when he was ejected from his motorcycle as is rolled numerous times on Route 15 in Jackson Township about 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 27, police said.
Gunyan, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center by ambulance. The hospital no longer provides condition reports on any of their patients.
