October 8, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

MANSFIELD - The Mansfield University Art Gallery will be dedicated in honor of Professor Emeritus Thomas Loomis at 6 p.m. Friday.

The dedication ceremony and a talk by Loomis, followed by a reception, will be held in the Gallery in Allen Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Loomis taught at Mansfield for 31 years and spent many years as Gallery director.

In addition to the dedication ceremonies, an opportunity to contribute to the Loomis Gallery Endowment Fund will be available.

The fund will support the gallery's ongoing cultural events including professional, student, and faculty exhibitions and in doing so generates scholarly art opportunities for present and future students.

The Loomis Gallery is in Allen Hall, 135 Stadium Drive, on the MU campus.
