Thomas S. Kefalas, Sr., 88, of 638 Grier St., Williamsport, died Oct. 4, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 21, 1924, in Ambridge, the son of Steve and Catherine Kostoglou Kefalas. Thomas retired from Textron and was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army.
He was preceded by his wife, the former Wilma Weisenburger; a son, Thomas S., Jr.; two sisters, Diane and Mary and two brothers, Stephen and Theodore.

Surviving is a daughter, Gail E. (Branch) Holt of Montoursville; a step- daughter Carol Weisenburger of Williamsport; a daughter-in-law, Donna Kefalas of South Williamsport; a sister, Georgia Patricelli; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Kefalas; a brother-in- law, Andy Covtsovasilis; five grandchildren, Brooke, Courtney, and Branch Holt and Thomas III and Jordan Kefalas and two great- grandchildren, Brynn and Mason.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville with Rev. Roy D. Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming Co. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday.
