A West Third Street man was arrested and jailed on his 28th birthday after allegedly selling 43 bags of heroin to a confidential informant, according to the Lycoming County Drug Task Force.
Anthony Aaron Monroe, of 2135 W. Third St., was taken into custody Thursday shortly after the 5:30 p.m. sale was done in the Memorial Park neighborhood, investigators said.
At his time of arrest, there already were two other warrants for Monroe's arrest charging him with drug offenses from earlier incidents in the city and in Monroe County, investigators said.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin, delivery of heroin and illegal use of a cell phone, Monroe was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.
