TODAY

Spaghetti supper

An all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1101 Washington Blvd. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-10 and free for those under 5. Takeouts are available. Musical entertainment will be provided by the AMFA District 8 country band.

Roast pork dinner

WATSONTOWN - A roast pork dinner will be held at 4 p.m. at the Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive. Tickets for adults are $8; children 5-12. $4; under 4, free. A children's menu and take-outs will be available.

Special speaker

The American Rescue Workers Community Church, 25 Ross St., will hold a special service featuring Jim Bucci, who serves in Youth Ministry at Christ Community Church in State College, at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Yard sale

St. John's United Methodist Church will hold a yard sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch and baked goods also will be available. The church is on Pikes Peak Road near Elimsport. Watch for signs.

Family thrift shop

Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road, will hold a family thrift shop from 8 a.m.-noon.

Charles Billingsley concert and worship conference

Community Baptist Church, 1853 Route 87, will host Charles Billingsley for a concert at 7 p.m. Friday and worship conference from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Billingsley serves as the worship leader at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Va. and is the president of Red Tie Music, a music publishing company. In addition, Billingsley leads worship at conferences for an average of 100,000 people each year. Tickets cost $12 for the concert and $10 for the worship conference. bake sale

Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St., will hold a rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Indoor craft and yard sale

Third Street United Methodist Church, 931 E. Third St., will hold its annual fall indoor craft and yard sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Tables are available to rent for $12 each by calling 322-0091. Food will be available all day.

Clothing giveaway

UNITYVILLE - Franklin Bethel United Methodist Church, 1595 Route 42, will hold a clothing giveaway from 9 a.m.-noon. There is a large assortment of fall and winter clothes for children, teens, women and men. The church is near the intersection of Routes 42 and 239.

Chicken and

biscuit dinner

JERSEY SHORE - Oriole United Methodist Women will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4-6:30 p.m. at the church, 39 Main Road. Tickets are $6.50 for adults; $4 for children 4-12 and free for children under 4. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Takeouts available.

Singles dance

A dance for singles will be held at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St., from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Cost is $7.50 at the door. No smoking. No alcohol. No denim or jeans.

Discussion planned

The Lycoming Unitarian-Universalist congregation will present "Ralph Waldo Emerson's America" at 10:45 a.m. at the First Church of Christ (Disciples) fellowship hall, 1250 Almond St.

21st Life Chain scheduled

The 21st annual Lycoming County Life Chain to support the Pro-Life Movement in America will be held on the Golden Strip from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Signs will be available at 2 p.m. at stations along the Golden Strip for those who wish to participate. Revival services set

Revival services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday at First Christian Church, 5329 Lycoming Mall Drive in Montoursville, with Dyke McCord, senior minister at the Church of Christ at Manor Woods, Rockville, Md., serving as the guest speaker. For more information, call 368-3101.

Lasagna dinner

Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., will hold a lasagna dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The meal includes meat or veggie lasagna, salad, bread and a homemade dessert. Eat in or take out. For more information, call the church at 322-0126.

Keep it Loud Tour in area

MILTON - Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Road, will host the Keep it Loud Tour featuring Fireflight and KJ-52 from 6-9 p.m.

Prayer group meeting

A prayer group meeting will be held at 11 a.m. at Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church, off the Pine Creek exit of Route 220. All are welcome to come listen to music and prayer.

Indoor yard sale

Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church, off of Route 220 at the Pine Creek exit, will have an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nothing will be priced, but donations will be taken. Mr. Sticky's products, sandwiches and drinks will be sold. No early bird sales.

Soup sale slated

PICTURE ROCKS - A soup sale will be held at Tivoli United Methodist Church, 3 miles north of Picture Rocks along Route 220, starting at 9 a.m. The soup kettles will be fired up outside and used to make ham and bean, chicken corn and vegetable beef soups which will be sold by the bowl or by the quart. A lunch will be served and baked goods will be for sale.

Craft sale and chicken barbecue

WATSONTOWN - A fall craft show and chicken barbecue will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Chicken barbecue will be available starting at 11 a.m. until sold out. Cost is $8. Takeouts available; rain or shine. Live entertainment provided by The McNett Country Band beginning at noon.

Turkey waffle dinner

LEWISBURG - St. John's United Church of Christ, 1050 Buffalo Road, will hold a turkey waffle dinner from 3:30-7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-12 and free for those under 3.

Chicken and biscuit supper

Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, 2898 Heshbon Road, will hold a chicken and biscuit supper from 4-6 p.m. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $4 for children and under 6 eat free. Takeouts available by calling 494-0241.

Turkey dinner

Fall banquet slated

WELLSBORO - Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tioga County will hold its annual fall banquet at the Wellsboro Fireman's Annex at 6 p.m. The cost is free, although tables can be sponsored and donations will be accepted. Call Bob or Alison Horne at 724-4591 to make a reservation. RSVP by Oct. 8.

Rosary planned in city

A Public Square Rosary Rally will be held starting at noon in front of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd. The Rosary Rally is being held to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Miracle at Fatima, which was witnessed by 70,000 people, including non-believers. The rallies are intended to remind people that even today, God still can work miracles of conversion. In case of inclement weather, the Rosary will be held in church.

Church festival benefits SPCA

TROUT RUN - In celebration of National Adopt-a-Dog Month, the Trout Run United Methodist Church will hold a festival to benefit the Lycoming County SPCA from noon to 4 p.m. at the Trout Run Volunteer Fire Co. social hall. The event includes lots of activities, food and live entertainment provided by Strawberry Alley & Friends, a local blues/classic rock and contemporary band. The SPCA will be on hand with kids' games and pets available for adoption. Owners may enter their pets in a costume contest for prizes. Pets are permitted at the event, but they must be friendly, licensed and up-to-date on vaccines. All participants will receive a complimentary gift bag and three winners will receive prize ribbons and additional special prizes. Brian Free and Assurance

BELLEFONTE - Brian Free and Assurance, a Southern Gospel quartet, will perform at First Baptist Church, 539 Jacksonville Road, at 6 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. A love offering will be received. For more information, call 355-5678.

Group will minister in music

MUNCY VALLEY - Rock Run Church will host the Original Couriers Group at 10:30 a.m. The evangelistic music group that began in 1955 with Dave Kyllonen, Duane Nicholson and Neil Enloe will minister in music for all who attend.
