Locally elected and appointed officials voted on the following matters in the past week:

The House rejected an amendment to a bill to return the state police aviation unit to the Williamsport Regional Airport. Voting in favor of the amendment were state Reps. Rick Mirabito, D-Williamsport; Garth Everett, R-Muncy; and Matthew E. Baker, R-Wellsboro.
The Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority Board approved an online payment option for its website. Those voting in favor were Jan V. Ransdorf, Donald E. Konkle Jr., Paul O. Wentzler, Richard C. Haas, James R. Carpenter, Charles S. Hall, Robert Hippenstiel, Charles S. Hall and Scott Slocum. Mary E. Bennardi was absent.
Lycoming County commissioners approved a one-year extension with Land and Mapping Services LLC, of Clearfield, for aerial photography and topographic mapping for the landfill. Voting in favor were Jeff C. Wheeland and Tony R. Mussare. Ernie Larson was absent.
DuBoistown Borough Council voted to hand over operation and maintenance of the borough's sewer system to the Williamsport Sanitary Authority. Voting yes were Michael Caschera, James Barger, Michael Rodgers, Paul McKinley, John McCormick, Norman Cowden, and Mark Shultz.
Montoursville Borough Council agreed to allow softball teams to play in Indian Park next year. Voting yes were Dennis Holt, Robert Brobson, Kim DiRocco, Gary Marshall, Mark Tillson, and Ronald Shearer.
Montoursville Borough Council voted to apply with the state for withdrawal of water from the Susquehanna River. Voting yes were Dennis Holt, Robert Brobson, Kim DiRocco, Gary Marshall, Mark Tillson and Ronald Shearer.
Muncy Borough Council voted 4-3 to adopt a new property maintenance code. Voting were Richard Baker, Galen Betzer, Tillie Noviello, Elaine McAleer, Dana Bertin, Jon Ort and Linda Stein.
City Council voted 7-0 to permit demolition of 119 E. Fourth St., a house owned by Christ Episcopal Church, which wants to create additional parking space for its members. Voting yes were President Bill Hall, Liz Miele, Bonnie Katz, Jonathan Williamson, Don Noviello, Randall J. Allison and N. Clifford "Skip" Smith.
The Williamsport Area School Board voted 9-0 to acknowledge the attainment of tenure status for 25 of the district's teachers. Voting in favor were Lori Baer, Thomas Zimmerman, David Stone Jr., Jerene Milliken, Karen Harris, Brette Confair, Dr. Jane Penman, Jay Shultz and Dale Vollman.
