Lois H. Wothers, 80, of Slate Run, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 12, 1931, the daughter of Robert Irvin and Deborah Copper (Firestone) Hartzler.
Lois was the wife of the late David Wothers with whom she shared 49 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1998.
She was a volunteer for many years at the Brown Township Community Fire Department.
She was known by many people in her life as an amazing seamstress.
Lois is survived a son, David J. (Susanne) Wothers of Pennsburg, Pa.; a daughter, Dr. Deborah L. Wothers of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren; a brother-in-law, John M. Wilson of Lewistown.
She is predeceased by a sister, Patricia Wilson.
Private services will be held by the family, who wish to thank their mother's many friends in the local community.
