Catherine E. Jacobs, 90, of 1900 Ravine Road, formerly of DuBoistown, passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1921, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Freida L. (Schneider) Bubb.
She was the wife of William F. Jacobs Sr., with whom she shared 72 years of marriage. They were married in Rural Valley, Pa., on Oct. 21, 1939.
For many years she was an active member of the DuBoistown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at church, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, William F. Jr. (Carol) of Montpelier, Va., Robert E. (Nancy) of Duboistown, Curtis C. (Penny) of Columbia, Md., Richard W. (Patricia) of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Andrew J., Charles L. and Calvin C. Bubb; and a sister, Hazel I. Latch.
There will be no visitation and private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
