The Loyalsock girls soccer team defeated Hughesville, 2-0, on Wednesday to improve to 12-2 on the season. Allie Pagana scored a goal and added an assist for the Lancers.
Warrior Run shut out Jersey Shore, 3-0. Taylor Landis scored two goals for the Defenders while Sarah Haluck added another.
Montoursville received three goals from Tayler Eshbach and two assists and a goal from Carly Mill as the Warriors defeated Milton, 5-0. Alexis Weisser, from Mill, rounded out the scoring for Montoursville.
Led by Macy Bower's hat trick, Millville defeated South Williamsport, 4-1.
In women's soccer, Lebanon Valley defeated Lycoming College, 2-0. Nicole Snyder scored both goals for the Dutchmen.
In women's volleyball, Penn College beat Penn State Scranton, 3-0. Courtney Gernert led Penn College with 10 kills while Tara Powell added six digs.
In college tennis, Penn College defeated Penn State Mont Alto, 6-3. Penn College improves to 6-1 on the season.
In girls tennis, Clarion's Caitlin Clemons earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a 3.5 or higher GPA and have been enrolled at their present school for at one academic year.
In women's volleyball, Penn College sophomore Caitlyn Curley was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference Setter of the Week. Curley was on point with her passing totaling 83 assists (4.4 asst./set) on a 6-0 week for the Wildcats. In addition she added 21 kills and 22 digs.
