One of your "regular" contributors recently wrote a very long letter stressing out about the voter ID law. He laments that the poor, the elderly, members of minorities, the disabled and females will have trouble obtaining the necessary ID to vote.
Without commenting on each and every argument he makes in his letter, I only want to say the following. I serve on a social services committee at my Williamsport church. We help many people each week that are desperately struggling to make ends meet. We do require each individual that asks for help to produce a driver's license or Pennsylvania ID. Guess what, they all have one or the other. And for the record, all persons that we see each week are members of at least one of the "people" categories you listed in your letter.
The bottom line is: Those that have chosen to vote in the past and that will vote on November 6th, could all have the necessary ID to do so.
