Announcement has been made of the engagement of Ashton Smith and Joshua Hackenberg, both of Hughesville.
A summer 2015 wedding in the Caribbean Islands is being planned.
Smith is the daughter of Darl and Doug Smith, Hughesville. She graduated from Hughesville High School in 2004 and received a bachelor's degree in heath and physical education with a minor in community health from Lock Haven University in 2008. She is employed by Montoursville Area School District as a health and physical educator and is the head tennis coach for the Lady Warriors.

JOSHUA HACKENBERG
Hackenberg is the son of Cheryl and Tim Hackenberg, Huntersville. He graduated from Hughesville High School in 2004. He received an associate degree in computer aided drafting technology and a bachelor's degree in computer aided product design from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2009. He is employed by Koroseal Wall Protection, Muncy, as a product engineer.
