Frank Sebring Carothers, 88, of Anderson, Ind., passed away on Sept. 27, 2012, at Saint John's Health System. He was born on April 20, 1924, in Jersey Shore, Pa. and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Frank graduated from Penn State University in 1950 from the School of Physics. He served his country in the Army during World War II in the European Theater.
He is a retired Engineer from Delco Remy Division of General Motors.

He was a member of the Society of American Engineers.
Frank enjoyed camping and traveling in his RV, gardening and spending time with his dog, Danny Boy.
Frank is survived by his loving spouse whom he married in 1947, Roberta (Schmoyer) Carothers; daughter, Jana C. (Terry) Wilson of Middletown, Ohio; granddaughter, Lindsay M. (Matt) Roehning of Greenwood; grandson, Eric S. Wilson of Middletown, Ohio; great-grandson, Benjamin R. Roehning of Greenwood, and niece, Elizabeth "Betsy" Danes of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Belle Harris; father, Frank S. Carothers Sr. and mother, Maude (Keagle) Carothers.

Visitation was held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, from noon to 1 p.m. at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, Indiana with Military rites conducted by the VFW No. 266.
Services were held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating.
Cremation took place.
