Maureen Ann Dincher

Maureen Ann Dincher, 70, of Finksburg, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, Md.

Born Dec. 20, 1941, in Williamsport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Josephine I. McGee Dolan and Arthur Francis Dolan. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles J. Dincher.

She worked for the Carroll County Board of Education as an English teacher for 30 years at Francis Scott Key High School and North Carroll Middle School. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School, Williamsport, class of 1959 and Lock Haven State Teacher's College in Lock Haven, now Lock Haven University, in 1963.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Westminster, the Maryland State Retired Teachers Association, served as past president of the Carroll County Teacher's Association, the Democratic Central Committee and also served as a central committee representative in Annapolis.

She was an avid reader and loved to travel.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Patrick C. Dincher of Owings Mills; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen A. and Karl Fry of Williamsport, Pa.; a grandson, Evan Dincher; and granddaughter, Carly Dincher. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by a son, Daniel A. Dincher.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 and Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. in the church portico. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, ANNUNCIATION CHURCH, 711 W. Edwin St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Interment will be in Williamsport at Wildwood Cemetery.
