Shirley L. Nickles, 73, of Williamsport, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the Roseview Center.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Robert on April 18, 2011.
Born Jan. 14, 1939, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma Smith Lowmiller.

Shirley was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden, going to yard sales, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Robert E. (Kathie) of Nisbet, Mark W. Sr. (Denise) of Williamsport, Robin A. (Robert) Vollmer of Williamsport; a sister, Evelyn Stere of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Nickles and a granddaughter, Keysha Nickles.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. There will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in State Road Cemetery.
