Helen L. (Sis) Goodfellow, 82, formerly of Grininger Road, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the Valley View Nursing Center where she had been a resident for several months.
Helen was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She loved to crochet and knit a blanket for anyone who was expecting a baby.
Helen enjoyed traveling, shopping, butterflies, watching the wildlife in her yard and just life's simple pleasures.
Helen was a 1948 graduate of the South Williamsport High School and a 1952 graduate of the Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing. She was affectionately known as "Goody" by all of her co-workers for the 40 years she worked at the Williamsport Hospital, retiring in 1993 as a registered nurse, all in the nursery department and at one time being the head nurse.
Born Feb. 25, 1930, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of William E. and Florence A. (White) Goodfellow.
Helen is survived by her family, Ken and Kim Adams, their children, Blake and McKenna, all of Cogan Station, several other cousins and her constant companion, Jessie her beloved dog.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Susan P. Lynch officiating. There will be a visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery.
