Roger E. Gray, 80, of Pennsdale, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 15, 1931, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Edgar and Naomi Hall Gray. His wife of 58 years, the former Shirley J. Fry, preceded him in death on Jan. 7, 2011.
Roger loved attending auctions and flea markets and collecting antiques, especially antique toys. He also enjoyed mowing grass and watching boxing and westerns on T.V.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Louise (Basil Alexander) Gray of Muncy and Barbara J. (Marc) Strouse of Pennsdale; six grandchildren, Beth Ann Earnest, Benjamin W. Strouse, Brooke L. Strouse, Lisa M. Casamo, Anthony R. Casamo and Heath F. Alexander; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Roger was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Gray.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran "White Church" Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
