Ella R. Bryan, 78, a guest at Signature Health Care in Columbia, Tenn., and formerly of Baldwin St., Williamsport, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at the home. She was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Canton, a daughter of the late Kermit and Nellie Heess.
Ella retired from GTE Sylvania in Montoursville. She was predeceased by her sister, Terry Lynn Heess.
She is survived by her sons, John H. Bryan Jr. of Williamsport, and Ronald D. Bryan; daughters, Dr. Sheila (Gary) Schuler of Nashville, Tenn., Melba (Gary) Moore of Williamsport, and Ruth (Jason) Rowland of Columbia, Tenn.; sisters, Shirley Wilson, Betty Bozman and Sandra (Dallas) Bown, all of Forksville; a brother, Carl Heess of Shunk; grandchildren, Erica, Jace and Jordan Rowland, and William Bryan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. Following the visitation, a private family graveside service will be held in the Montoursville Cemetery.
