Lucille S. Eck, 90, of formerly of Cottage Ave., died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Rose View Center.
Born April 13, 1922, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Alberta (Edwards) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Eck, in 1974.
Lucille graduated from South Williamsport High School and served in the Navy during World War II. She then worked for AVCO, the former Lycoming Hotel and retired as a cook at Lycoming College. Lucille enjoyed crafting, especially crochet.

She is survived by a son, James David Thompson of Williamsport, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville, with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lucille's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
