Hope Enterprises has been breaking ground for 60 years, a milestone that was marked at its annual meeting recently.
For six decades, the organization has been uniquely shepherding mentally challenged people through lifetimes made so much richer through care and nurturing that quite honestly can't be found anywhere else.
People have gone through the Hope Enterprises system and lived lives of enrichment and production and value that they and their families could never have imagined.
But in the 60th year, when it might not seem possible, Hope Enterprises got better.
It took on the Children's Development Center and the partnership now makes it possible for the merged organization to take care of people from birth to death.
Together, the two organizations and their program offerings represent a product for disadvantaged people that may not be matched anywhere else.
And guess what? It's in our community.
Many people were honored at the dinner that marked Hope's annual dinner and all were incredibly deserving people.
But the meeting really marked a milestone occasion that stood as testimony to the value of Hope and its partner, the Children's Development Center.
Our community is so rich for the presence of the newly empowered Hope Enterprises.
