As the election comes closer I have to remember back 4 years to the promises of the incumbent and remember him promising to put all federal bills on the Internet for 5 days before he signed them. He has never done that, and in fact the first important bill was Affordable Health care act which he pressured the Democrat-controlled Congress to pass without letting anyone have enough time to read it. Remember the words of Pelosi who stated "Let's get this thing passed and then we can see what's in it!"
He promised to sit down with the other party and compromise. He failed that test when he went around congress to name his czar's. All without congressional approval.
He promised to have the rest of the world love us, but he has managed to have our allies lose faith in us and the Muslim countries still hate us.
He promised new jobs but only succeeded in spending hundreds of billions of dollars in stimulus measures that would never have provided anything more than temporary jobs but most of that money was lost in the bankruptcies that followed.
His plan to spend billions on more police and school teachers are not going to help creat an economy, they will only create more debt that the working class can't afford.
He promised to support Medicare and then removed the funding so he could shove it in his health care plan.
He promised no new taxes on those who make under $250,000 and then changed it to under $100,000 and year but it turns out the taxes on Medicare recipients will be 200 percent higher after the election and this will effect the senior citizens who have payed into this plan since its start. It won't have any effect on those who have never paid into it thanks to his health care plan that will be paid for by taking benefits from those who worked and paid for their health care and giving it to those who refuse to work.
I fail to see where this man kept one campaign promise he made although he did say if he couldn't reduce the national debt in three years then it should only be a four year run for him. I agree and hope voters will hold him to that campaign promise!
