Environmentalists and the oil companies and the government are squabbling over building an oil pipeline from Canada down to the Gulf of Mexico to the oil refineries in Texas.
Why don't they quit squabbling and build a refinery in northern Minnesota. It is sparsely populated in that area, so there is lots of room. It would be cheaper to build a refinery there than spending all that money trying to buy up oil pipeline right-of-ways, and we could certainly use the extra oil and a new refinery. Makes sense to me and it would create a lot of needed jobs.
