Kay B. Harkey, 54, of 10 Ridge St., Avis, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, in the Geisinger Medical Center.
Born Oct. 11, 1958, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of Kenneth Crediford and the former Mary Waterman.
Kay is survived by her husband, Edward L. Harkey; they were united in marriage Feb. 23, 1975, in the Waterville United Methodist Church. Kay was employed by the Tech Group of West Pharmaceuticals in Williamsport. For many years she was a member of the Jersey Shore American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose and American Legion.
Also surviving is her mother; a son, Kenneth L. Harkey of Slate Run; and a daughter, Jennifer R. (Justin) Renzo of Avis; six grandchildren, Blaze Vanemon, Ariah Butler, Emma Harkey, Ashton Harkey, Ramsey Harkey and Natasha Harkey; one sister, Margaret Kaufman of Montoursville; and two half brothers, Harry Rayson of Jersey Shore and James Rayson of Thompsontown. Kay was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth H. Harkey.
Private memorial services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, is in charge of arrangements.
