William Frederick Foose, 82, formerly of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Miller) Foose to whom he was married for 60 years.
William started his career as a high school history teacher and after a varied career in higher education administration retired from Widener University in Chester, Pa., in 1986. He was a talented handyman and remodeled his 1800's home with great attention to detail. Bill enjoyed discussing his love of travel, cooking and study of world history.
In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by his children, Rebecca Snook and her husband, Michael, Melissa Carpenter and her husband, Lynn, and Suzanne Stanley and her husband, Roger; four grandchildren, Christopher Snook, Matthew Snook and his wife, Kerri, Samuel Carpenter and Sara Carpenter; one great-grandson, Finnley Snook; one sister, Joanne Miller and her husband, Jim; and one brother, James Foose and his wife, Louise.
The family will receive friends and family anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Washington House Restaurant, 136 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960.
