A Linden-area man has been jailed on charges of allegedly assaulting his estranged wife during a disturbance in her Memorial Avenue home, city police said.
"Oh, you want to die anyways," James Anthony Esposito III told his wife, Amy, as he jabbed her in the left side with a steak knife at 1004 Memorial Ave. about 7:50 p.m. Aug. 5, police said.
Esposito, 21, of 1366 Northway Road, Woodward Township, then began "flailing the knife recklessly, causing superficial wounds to the woman's left arm," police said. He bolted from the scene after he realized someone called 911, police said.
He recently was arraigned on charges of simple assault and recklessly endangering and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. He since has waived his preliminary hearing.
