Two Pennsylvania College of Technology student roommates are in Lycoming County Prison after city police seized 160 grams of marijuana and $13,000 of suspected drug money from their West Fourth Street apartment.
The drugs and money were found Friday afternoon in an apartment rented by Kyle Aaron Moore, 23, of Athens, and Taylor Brook Robinson, 22, of Colora, Md., police said.
Officers initially were called to the property to investigate a loud music complaint about 10:45 a.m., police said. As soon as the door was opened, officers detected "a very strong odor of burnt marijuana" coming from the apartment, police said.
After obtaining a search warrant from a district judge, officers spent part of the afternoon going through the apartment. With the $13,000 was an "owe sheet," which police said is a record drug dealers keep of their transactions.
Moore and Robinson were arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The two remained behind bars Wednesday in lieu of $100,000 bail each.
