2 charged with possession of paraphernalia

MANSFIELD - Borough police recently charged two people with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, they were:

Zackery J. Schaub, 24, of 212 Chestnut St., Towanda; On Oct. 9. police stopped a vehicle for speeding on South Main Street and found 6 grams of marijuana in a plastic baggie and a tinfoil smoking device full of pot that he allegedly had been smoking in the car. He waived his preliminary hearing and was released on $2,500 bail. His county court hearing was set for Nov. 5.

Nicolas A. Runk, 20, of 15 N. Main St.; On Sept. 23, at the South Academy Street Park, Runk was spotted at the park after it was closed. Police found he had a small amount of marijuana and a bong in his backpack. Also in his possession were a cut-open soda bottle containing a homemade bong with pot residue, wrapping papers, a makeshift plastic smoking pipe with burn marks on the end, and an orange crusher used to break up pot buds. He was issued a summons to appear Nov. 7 at a preliminary hearing.
