Lucille A. Weidler

Lucille A. Weidler, 86, formerly of Rauchtown, died on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Manor Care, Jersey Shore. Her husband, Clifford L. Weidler, died on May 10, 1985.

Lucille was born on Nov. 2, 1925, in Jersey Shore, and was the daughter of Lorenzo and Alma Ergott Wurster.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the church Ladies Aid Society.

She had been a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for five years. She had worked for Piper Aircraft, was the Tax Collector in Crawford Township for 12 years and worked as a teacher's aid for the Jersey Shore School District.

Lucille is survived by a son, Scott (Dorothy) Weidler, Lock Haven; three daughters, Patricia (Dewey) Hamilton, Avis, Sandra Buttorff, Jersey Shore, and Pamela (Francis) Hoffman, Rauchtown; a brother, Larry Wurster, Clearfield; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Gary; a sister, Beatrice Ganoe; and a son-in-law, Steven Buttorff.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. Gary Shumway officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 3242 Middle Road, Jersey Shore, PA 17740, or to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern PA Chapter, 57 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
