A woman was charged with false reports to law enforcement for allegedly making a false rape report to city police on Aug. 26.
Lois Ann Goetz, 43, whose last known address was 607 Walnut St., later admitted she made up the story because she was not home when her parole officer came to the house to conduct a routine check.
Goetz told police she had been sexually assaulted under the Maynard Street bridge.
Goetz was jailed on a parole violation.
She was arraigned before District Judge James Carn on Oct. 5 recommitted in lieu of $10,000 bail.
