2 men allegedly stole copper, piping

Two men have been jailed on charges of allegedly stealing $167 worth of copper and piping from Barr's Construction, 1115 Almond St., about 7 a.m. on Oct. 10, city police said.

Micah Richard Hepler, 31, of 408 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, and Roger Travis Waltz, 40, of 197 Trout Run Mountain Road, Trout Run, were caught a short time trying to sell the stole items at a recycling business, police said.

Both men were arraigned before District Judge Allen P. Page III on charges of burglary, theft and receiving stolen property and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail each.
