Fresh off a win over two-time defending state champion Warrior Run, the Loyalsock girls soccer team garnered the top seed for the District 4 Class A playoffs according to brackets released Sunday.
The Lancers were one of two local teams to earn a top seed as the Warrior Run boys got the No. 1 seed in the Class AA playoffs after 18-0 campaign.
Loyalsock plays No. 16 Northeast Bradford on Tuesday at Balls Mills at 5 p.m. Warrior Run's boys play the winner of the first-round game between Shamokin and Midd-West on Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
The Warrior Run girls are the third seed in the Class AA tournament and open against No. 6 Danville on Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
