Teresa Margaret Wall Smith Cormier, formerly of Bangor, Maine, passed into eternal life at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 19, 2012, at the Williamsport Home.
Teresa was born March 22, 1926, daughter of the late William J. Wall and Mary Ann McTigue. She graduated from Bangor High School and attended Beal Business College in Bangor, Maine. Shortly thereafter she married and started her family.
She was predeceased in death by her first husband, John E. Smith of Maine, and her second husband, Joseph Gerald Cormier of Waltham, Mass. Teresa was also predeceased by son, Thomas Milton Smith of Richmond, Maine; two sisters, Francis and Cecilia; and her brother, John.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda M. (Tim) O'Brien of Carlisle, Pa.; three sons, John D. (Crystal) Smith of Williamsport, Pa., Mark E. (Didi) Smith of Weston, Mass., Gary S. Smith of Seattle, Wash.; and daughter-in-law, Nancie B. Smith of Richmond, Maine. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Teresa was of Christian faith and believed in the God Almighty. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a long standing member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Elks, American Legion and VFW of Waltham, Mass.
Teresa always enjoyed her family. Back in the day, she enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, playing cards and camping.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in memory of Teresa Cormier, 322 Eighth Ave., Seventh floor, New York, NY 10001.
Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, is in charge of arrangements.
