Donald Robert Moyer, 84, of Vero Beach, Fla., died Oct. 18, 2012.
He was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Pottsville, Pa., and moved to Vero Beach 26 years ago, coming from Annandale, Va.
Mr. Moyer was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in both Korea and Vietnam.

He earned his master's degree in marine engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass.
Mr. Moyer had worked as a naval marine architect engineer for the U.S. Navy prior to his retirement after 23 years of service.
He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, the Military Officers Association of America, the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of California and the Vero Beach Codgers.
Mr. Moyer is survived by his wife of 54 years, Muriel Moyer; daughter, Susan Shevlin of Irvine, Calif.; two sons, Donald Moyer Jr. of Vero Beach and David Moyer of Stafford, Va.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, with Father Michael Goldberg, officiating.
