Anne L. Gordon Kane, of Culbertson Run, Downingtown, Pa., entered into the joy of her Lord after a long illness on Oct. 20, 2012.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., in 1964, she was the daughter of The Rev. Paul E. Gordon, Paradise, Pa., and the late Faith A. Pedrick Gordon. She attended Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing and was a graduate of Cedarville University School of Nursing, Cedarville, Ohio. She was employed at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia for a number of years where in 1995, she received the Pennsylvania Nurse Association Staff Award. At the time of her death she was a public health nurse for Nurse Family Partnership of the Chester County Health Department. She was an active member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church, Gap, Pa.
She is survived by her father; twin sons, Paul and Francis Kane; and the following siblings: Elizabeth wife of The Rev. William Nowak, Greenville, S.C., Paul A. Gordon husband of Lynne of Pittsburgh, David M. Gordon husband of Lori of Caledonia, Mich., The Rt. Rev. Thomas E. Gordon husband of Janet of Charlotte, N.C.; and foster brother, James Hurst husband of Marcia of Allentown, Pa. She was also the beloved aunt of several nephews and nieces.
Funeral service will take place from the Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 810 Newport Avenue, Gap, Pa., on Thursday, October 25, at 11 a.m. with Rev. William S. Davies Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown, Pa., following the funeral luncheon. There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
