Leaves are getting picked up across the city from now until the first snow, according to officials with the Streets and Parks Department.
The vacuum truck is out and about in no particular order, sucking up leaves from residences.
Leaves are to be raked loosely to the curbline and not bagged up.
Effort also should be taken to keep leaves out of the street as much as possible, officials said.
It typically takes until beyond the Thanksgiving holiday break before the job is complete or whenever the city has its first appreciable snow.
