A Williamsport man faces charges after police responded to his residence at 612 Locust St. late Saturday for an alleged domestic assault.
LeRoy Mull, 51, faces charges of simple assault and harassment.
When city police arrived at the home they said they found Mull's girlfriend with multiple bruises.
According to court records, the woman had fresh cuts and red marks on the left side of her neck. Police also noticed that her mouth was bleeding and her left eye was swollen.
The victim, who was not named in court documents, alleged Mull "choked her with his right hand while holding her against the wall," according to police.
When the woman managed to escape his grasp, Mull allegedly began punching her on the side of her face with his fists, according to the affidavit.
Mull was arranged before District Judge James H. Sortman early Sunday morning.
He then was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
